Is there hope that God will use broken people for his glory? Matthew West believes God uses broken people. Do you? Do you believe God will use you and your brokenness for His glory?
What does it mean to bring God glory? When God uses your brokenness, other people will see God through your life story and you get to give God the credit for your life change. Would I have ever been able to find freedom from sexual abuse without God? No. Would I have found freedom from sexual addiction? No. This freedom is from God. My story of freedom only exists because of God’s work in my life. When I share my brokenness, when I share my story with others, God gets the glory. God gets the credit. He is the one that did the good work in me. (more…)
Happy Easter week friends! Today my friend Allison Finley from Divinely Beautiful Ministries is guest posting about the pursuit of real and lasting beauty. We are praying that your identity would come from the Words of God instead of the words of the world.
Hey friends! Exciting news – a good friend of mine, Chad Young, just launched his new book Wrestling with Faith, Love and Gators! I’m excited for this new book for two reasons. First of all, Chad and I know each other through Cru, a college ministry, and share a passion for college students to fully know God’s love. I know that this book will help college students experience God’s love in powerful ways. Secondly, Chad asked me to share a story in the book! In chapter 3, I share a story of how I desired the love of man more than the love of God. I had placed the desire to have a man’s love over the desire for God’s love, and this left me unsatisfied.
Chad and I are very excited to share this book with you today. Check out his guest post below on God’s love, make sure to enter the giveaway, and then leave Chad a comment encouraging him with the new book launch.

The word worship is a powerful word. Worship is not just singing praise songs on Sunday morning. It is an attitude and a way of life.
As Christians, we long to live our lives worshiping God, but most days we spend time worshiping other things. As broken and sinful people, we tend to worship ourselves and others. We need to constantly surrender this to Jesus.
Jesus is enough. Jesus can fulfill all our longings. Jesus is the one we need to worship. We need to give our ourselves to God in every area of our lives. Here are some examples of how we can worship God: continually thinking of and talking to Him throughout the day, serving others with love, and being open and obedient every minute to whatever He may ask of you. God promises to rescue those who love him. Ladies, He will always be there for you to help you, to provide refuge, security and peace, and to love you forever and always. We can have faith in all of these promises. Some days, you may struggle to believe that these promises are true. Today’s devotional is here to encourage you to trust in God’s word. Even as sinners, God loves us and promises to never leave our side. We know this to be true because that is exactly what God promised in the Bible. Read Psalm 46 (NIV) below: (more…)
HAPPY EASTER WEEK FRIENDS! To celebrate the fact that we worship a living God, I am hosting the biggest giveaway I’ve ever hosted. I am giving away 20 gifts including art prints, art printables, bracelets, and a necklace. (Check out photo below for pictures of the items.)
This means that 20 of you, my awesome readers, will receive a gift. I’m so excited!
The reason for this giveaway is to give glory to Jesus, who took on all our sins, suffered an excruciating death, was buried, and then raised from the dead. The cross is the heart of the gospel and the reason we, as Christians, have hope.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3 ESV).
Jesus’ resurrection gives us hope! This week let’s celebrate Jesus, the power of the cross, the resurrection, and the hope that Jesus brings. Later this week, I will blog about the importance of Easter / Resurrection Sunday. For now, we celebrate with this giveaway! Share this link with your friends so they can celebrate too. I hope you win! (more…)
